About Me
Hi, I’m Sarah!
Believer, wife, mama, soccer player, runner, and passionate breastfeeding advocate. I’ve been a registered nurse in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) for 8 years, caring for some of the tiniest and most vulnerable babies and their families. My NICU work showed me the powerful role breastmilk plays in healing, growth, and connection—but experiencing my own journey gave those lessons a deeper, more personal meaning.
When my son was born, I thought breastfeeding would come naturally. With my background and experience, how hard could it be? But despite my preparation, the reality was very different—I struggled. Once home from the hospital, every feeding felt overwhelming and painful. After battling mastitis, I reached out to a lactation consultant for what I thought was a last-ditch effort. The guidance, reassurance, and practical tips I received completely changed our journey—and I’m forever grateful.
I went on to breastfeed my son until he was 2 ½ years old—through pregnancy and then tandem nursing after my daughter was born. Looking back, I never imagined I’d one day be thankful for those early challenges, but they led me here—to become an International Board Certified Lactation Consultant (IBCLC). I truly believe God uses our struggles in ways we can’t always see at the time. Today, I’m honored to walk alongside other moms through every twist and turn of their feeding journey—because I know how much it means to have someone in your corner.
